Sponsors

This race is possible only because of numerous volunteers who give up their day to make the magic happen for the runners. We appreciate and are grateful for each of them. Remember to thank them when you are on the course.

Primary Sponsors

Lonn & Lynn Robertson

Lonn and his pup, Josey, coach Team 5am Running Madness in Eugene/Springfield. He and his wife Lynn generously donate funds and commissioned the age group awards from local artists. We thank them for their support. Lonn may be out running the race too – if so, it will be the 13th time he has run the race.

MPTX

MPTX assists local governments and communities with natural disaster recovery grants and hazard mitigation. MPTX generously provides us with funds, website support, and Samba Ja along the course! We greatly appreciate all their support.

Bill Sharp

Bill Sharp has graciously come on board as a principal sponsor of MRTR. A former MRTR race director, Bill has shifted his focus to international humanitarian work primarily in Ukraine and Poland. His love for MRTR still finds him assisting marking the race course and  providing valuable help at the finish line.

Additional Sponsors

Alesong Brewing and Blending

Alesong is a small artisan brewery specializing in barrel-aged beer in the Southern Willamette Valley wine country. They have produced a special beer for the run annually since 2018. Every beer they’ve produced for our runners has won a medal!

Ardor Adventures

Ardor Adventures, operated by Ed Cortes of Newport, will be managing our first ever year of chip timing the McKenzie River Trail Run.  His efforts to get us up to speed with current technology will be greatly appreciated! Check out some of his excellent Newport races.

Back Country Gear

Backcountry Gear is a premier outdoor gear and sporting goods store based in Eugene, Oregon. They provide our first place and surprise awards annually. Check out their website or brick and mortar store with friendly faces!

Coldfire Beer

ColdFire brews craft beer motivated by European traditions in Eugene, Oregon. They provide the “drinking beer” (all proceeds go to McKenzie River Trust) for after your race.

Eugene Foot & Ankle Clinic

The physicians and surgeons at Eugene Foot and Ankle provide podiatry services in Lane County. They can help with your overuse foot and ankle injuries as well as the (trail runner’s inevitable) sprained ankle.

Horse Creek Lodge

Horse Creek Lodge and Outfitters provides equipment rentals, shuttle services, and guided rafting tours as well as comfortable lodging in luxurious cabins, or in the campground, for your year round McKenzie River area adventures. Horse Creek lodge generously provides their shuttle services for our race shuttle annually. Be sure to check out their services!

Run Hub Northwest

Run Hub is a full service running store and is committed to building the local running community through their running groups, training programs, and excellent service. They have generously provided our electrolyte hydration and gels as well as operating the most energetic aid station at Trail Bridge since 2018.

SportHill

SportHill is a local sports apparel store focusing on function and quality. Jim Hill, the founder, has been associated with the race from its earliest years in the mid 1980’s. Over the years they have provided our running apparel swag. If you’re local, check out their annual warehouse sale! If not, don’t worry, their online catalogue is robust.

Zenith Performance and Wellness

Physical therapy and performance services for runners, by runners. We know that “stop running” is not a viable treatment plan. When you have pain or want to perform better, it helps to be treated by providers who understand your lifestyle, passion and goals. Zenith-PNW provides 1 on 1, hour-long sessions with the same Doctor of Physical Therapy (who are runners themselves) so you get better, faster.

Spring Fed Media

Spring Fed Media creates lasting impressions for individuals, non-profits, and businesses through photography and videos. Michael has produced quality photography and videography of our run. He has deep ties with the run as his father was one of the founders of the MRTR.

The Race Directors especially thank the following:

Our families and friends who graciously tolerated and supported our passion for making this event happen. We know this monumental feat could not have happened without your patience.

McKenzie High School bus drivers generously volunteer their time to provide shuttle services to the start line.
